CI-340 Handheld Photosynthesis System
The CI-340 HandheldPhotosynthesis System is a lightweight, portable device designed for precisemeasurement of photosynthesis, transpiration, and leaf-level gas exchange.Optimized for single-handed operation, it supports both open- and closed-systemmeasurements, with stable analyzers for accurate CO₂ and H₂O monitoring, and aninfrared, non-contact leaf temperature sensor.
Applications
- Crop Optimization: Assess photosynthetic responses to fertilization and management practices.
- Climate & Environmental Research: Monitor effects of drought, heat, and contamination on photosynthetic activity.
- Forestry & Ecology: Conduct gas exchange measurements of trees, shrubs, and soil to evaluate ecosystem health.
- Modular Expansion
The CI-340 can be customized withcontrol modules to simulate diverse environmental conditions:
- CI-301LA Light Module: Adjusts light intensity for light-response curves and standardized measurements.
- CI-510CS Temperature Control Module: Regulates chamber temperature to study heat/cold responses.
- CI-301AD CO₂ & H₂O Module: Controls gas concentrations for physiological response analysis.
- CI-510CF Chlorophyll Fluorescence Module: Simultaneously measures fluorescence with gas exchange to evaluate photosynthetic efficiency.
Leaf Chambers
- With 10 interchangeable chambers, the CI-340 accommodates various plant types:
- LC-1 Square Chamber: For small, broad leaves.
- LC-5 Large Cylindrical Chamber: For shrubs and herbs.
- LC-10 Liter Chamber: For large-needled conifers.
- LC-11 Cactus Chamber: For very large leaves and cacti.
- Custom soil respiration chamber also available.
